Kane is a bit of a dud over his name, even though he is aware that his name is more than perfectly suitable, he despises it almost as much as he despises the people who gave it to him. I wouldn't dare call him anything other than that; no Sebastian or Bastian like his mother used to call him. -He'd slit your throat in seconds just for that. Besides he never uses it, so not many people know it's his first name.

\Appearance/
Kane stands at a tall six foot, he is seen as very delicate looking. But everyone knows that you shouldn't really judge a book by it's cover. This man is more than he seems on the outside. What flesh he does have is all toned and muscular, just barely covering his delicate features. On first glance it is easy to mistake the young looking man for a woman, with soft almost painfully delicate looks, the man often uses his innocent and pretty looks to get exactly what he wants.

He dresses in black and sometimes red, occasionally throwing in something white, but other than that he keeps away from color, liking that he can easily slip through the shadows unnoticed. His long slender hands are adorned with long frequently painted and manicured nails. He likes big boots and wears them off, rarely will you see him barefoot.

His style is unusual to say in the least. As if he's taken bits and pieces from different fashion era over the past century. his long slender legs are normally clad in almost skin tight black jeans or designer black pants making him look even more long legged and slender than he already is. He is rather fond of vintage tee shirts but also likes to wear button ups, and turtlenecks. He most often will top it off with a jacket of his deciding.

Under the clothes and makeup, Kane is somewhat of a norm; his delicateness and grace the only thing that makes him stand out. He looks like a normal teenager, a tattoo of a star adorning his left hip, his right nipple pieced with a ring and another piercing on his left eyebrow. He also has his tongue pierced and often finds himself playing with it. He knows that once he takes it out it will heal and he will have to do it all over again.

\Strengths/
Charming --Kane can be very charming when he wants; mostly because he knows if he oozes on the charm he'll get what he wants. "What can I say, compliments get you everywhere."

Patience. --Kane is very patient for someone with a fast temper. But for some reason, waiting doesn't annoy him as much as other things do. "If we all had no patience then the world would be in chaos."

Fun-loving. --Kane loves to have fun; if he's not having fun then he thinks whatever he is doing is kind of pointless. "Fun makes THIS *waves hand* all worth it."

Intelligent. --Kane is anything but stupid, his large brown eyes are forever taking everything. He is more a watcher than an acter. When he talks he makes sure he KNOWS what he's talking about and often has something to say about everything. "I have brains, but I decide when i use them."

Quick Tempered. --Although very patient, Kane's mood can change like a flick of a switch. If you manage to anger the beautiful man he can turn on you like a snake. "I can't help it, once I feel that [anger] inside I just have to let it out."

Vain. --Kane can be very vain, in fact he is aware that he looks good and hates the fact that his reflection is fading, he likes to be able to look at himself. "I am my best asset."

Attention Seeker. --He likes to be the center of attention and with his looks it's not hard to get that to happen. "Me, me... look at me. La de da." *eyeroll*

Bossy. --he likes to get his own way, and can be slightly bossy about it. He does try not to but sometimes he doesn't even realize he's doing it. "It's a bad habit." *shrugs*

Would have to be his speed and grace, being the tiny man he is, Kane can move fast and still be graceful. He's a great dancer and uses to lure in his prey.

\Personality/

^SHORT-TEMPERED: Don't get on the wrong side of this boy, One minute he's all smiles and sweet words. But it can change quickly. He'll turn on you like a snake protecting it's eggs.--"I wouldn't say BITCH... lets just say It's easy to make me angry. What can i say... I'm sensitive."

^SILENT: Kane is very withdrawn most of the time and prefers to spend time in silence and/or alone. He tends to stick to the shadows even when he's with a person he trusts, sometimes even going as far as wanting to be able to become one of the shadows himself; When he was mortal he wanted be an assassin. And before he was changed he had pretty much perfected his walk so that each step doesn't make a sound, no matter what he was wearing he was still graceful and silent as he walked and he's pretty proud of that.

^CHARMING: The one thing you should know about this boy is that he CAN be very charming; though he is not often charming unless he wants something or maybe (the less likely reason) is the fact that he likes you and wants you to think good of him. He's not a bad boy but can in fact be very very sweet, almost sickeningly so. but don't let that fool you... Ant's like sweet things but sometimes sweet things can be deadly to your health.

^NARCISSISTIC.--You could definitely say that Kane is vain and self-absorbed; when he'd not preening himself in the mirror he's practically begging for compliments from others. "I like to look at myself; sometimes when I look at myself I see a bit of my brother. Is that a bad thing? I can look at the world around me and see such chaos that i can't control; but when I look in the mirror I know that i have complete control on my looks and that there will always be something beautiful there for me."

^JEALOUS: Kane can get very jealous, he hates not being the center of attention and he hates people that have more than him. But he's not really the type to let it be known. Instead he is the type to make himself work even harder than he already is and get even better. Even if that means removing the competition in the long run, so be it.

^SPITEFUL: Though as said before that Kane can be very charming this can easily change within seconds. you wont know what hit you, one minute he'll be smiling almost pleasantly then he's be diving for offenders throat--of course depending on what you do. He is quick witted and snarky, quick with his insults and flaming dark eyes.

^CURIOUS: he is always curious and watchful, never missing anything. Of course unless its mundane stuff then he's really not interested. He loves to learn things and it can be often showed by his eagerness to get to work. He hardly argues unless there is good reason, he likes to please... not only himself but others.

^FLIRTY.-- Kane can't help but flirt, with both males and females. Hell he actually used to hit on his own mother to get a reaction. He's often playful and can come on seemingly strong when really he's just testing your limits. --"If you know how to flirt then how about you do it? It's fun."

^IMPULSIVE.--Kane never plans anything, in fact plans are boring to the young man. He's anything but organized and loves to just jump into things. --"What's the point in planning everything in advance? Where's the surprise in that?"

\History/

BEFORE THE CHANGE:
Born in Germany to Alicia and Georg Ertwich; Kane was brought forth in silence, his parents almost afraid that he was dead. But when the dark, silent child was placed in their arms they were less concerned.

Over the next few years their concern started to come back as their still mostly silent child started to show signs of evil. He was quiet and would sneak up on people, his voice a mere whisper when he did speak. He would stare at a dead animal for hours trying to figure out how and why it died. He became almost obsessed with death, concerning both of his parents.

They tried to ignore it, sending him to school after school only to have him be sent back for some reason or another. Their son never denying anything, but never admitting it either. They tried to keep him busy getting him into more and more activities; billiards, chess, fencing, gymnastics, and Martial arts.--All of which he kept doing in his spare time out of enjoyment.

His parents soon found that he was getting worse with all his skills and they begun to sense a dangerous vibe off him. Soon they started getting calls from the police stations to come pick him up. He robbed, he mugged, he stole cars and even broken into buildings, using all his new skills.

The Only person he would talk to or tell the truth to was his twin brother. Then one day his brother and he got a call while they were in school; their parents had been in a fire and their home was burnt to the ground. The boys were devastated and were shipped off to stay with family friends in England.

At first things were good and the boys were doing well until Kane fell in with the wrong crowd. He quickly resorted back to old habits and one day those habits got him caught in something way deeper than he was ready for. Caught in a blood fight between a clan of Vampires, Kane was agust when his throat was pactically ripped from him.

He was found later by an old vampire and changed. It took him years to remember what had really happened and now that he does he is determined to find the old man and take his life from him. Because not soon after he was turned did he turn to his twin and tried to change him, failing and killing him instead.

BEFORE HE WAS TURNED::
Kane shuffled his feet around a bit as he waited for an answer from inside the house, trying to keep warm by pulling his coat tighter around his body. He was almost disappointed when he heard his brothers voice from inside, he was about to turn around and walk back to his car and forget that he ever decided to make this trip, everything would be easier that way.. he wouldn't have to face reality.

"Hurry up man its f**king cold!!" He yelled from outside of the door, rubbing his arms vigorously to keep in the warmth, it hadn't quite got this cold back home yet but he assumed this was a sign it was coming. He looked up when he felt something fall on his head, and was greeted by a few snowflakes on his nose and eyelashes.

"Figures.." He muttered to himself wiping them away, at this rate he'd be looking more like he was related to frosty then Anis.

When Anis finally opened the door they both shared the same sort of surprised face, they both had changed so much. Anis looked.. older then the last time Kane had seen him, happier too.. if not just more at ease. He didn't have their parents to worry about anymore. He remembered the way that that had felt, Freedom for once. He walked inside and unwrapped his scarf setting it on the back of the couch, feeling the sudden warmth. "Its about time.. Its starting to snow.." he stated the obvious, he was good at that.

"You look good.. I mean.. you should put some clothes on if your going to go outside but.. its good to see you." He welcomed his twin brothers hug, wrapping his arms around him tightly, he had forgotten what it felt like to be hugged or shown any affection, but that was his own fault. "I missed you too.. I don't really go out much.." Anymore... he wanted to add. He didn't really leave his house at all, on the weekends he didn't bother to shower or even get out of bed. What did it matter if he wasn't going to be stepping out of the house anyway? He wasn't even sure why he had come in the first place.

Kane slowly, reluctantly, pulled away from the hug, he didn't want to freak his brother out or anything it just felt so good to be with another human being who was older than 10. "How has everything been?" He had heard tid bits from his mom about what Anis had been up to, he was always curious as to what sort of trouble he could be getting himself into. He really didn't mean to stay away from the family for so long, it just kind of happened and he felt worse and worse about it, especially since lately he really had no logical reason not to visit.
