It was very early morning, slightly misty and cold. A girl no taller than five foot two stood staring down in the graveyard. No emotion was really shown but you could tell she was different with her pale complexion. The girl was wearing a black dress that reached just above her knees, her slim pale legs stood out, really she stood out. She looked ghostly stood there. In her small pale hands she held a shocking red rose. The figure knelt down to the ground slowly resting the red rose by the gravestone. "I miss you mom." Cassie sighed, her long curly brown hair was up in a ponytail and the ends hung over her shoulder. She placed her hand on the gravestone running her fingers over the name. "I'll never forget you" she murmered. She slowly started to stand up. I'll catch up with you next time" Cassie said turning round and starting to walk down the gravel path where so many gravestones stood. She gracefully walked down into the fog not knowing what the day would bring.

Annelise didn't really see anything interesting about graveyards. But perhaps that was because she had lost the last of her relatives so long ago that there was no emotion left to draw up for the dead. Besides, she was dead and she was fine. The thought brought a grin to her face and she laughed quietly just as she heard a voice say something about missing someone.
The thing was, it wasn't the scent of a human afoot, but the scent of another Vampiress. Interesting, Annelise thought, pausing from her stroll to see what was going on in the graveyard. Was it really a Vampire who was concerned for a dead person? Just before Annelise entered the graveyard, she remembered the sadness she felt when someone died. Well, the last had not been a person but a pet, but it had still brought up the emotion.
The blocks on Annelise's minds were so fierce that there were only two Vampires she knew of who could actually get into her thoughts-- her creator and the father of all Vampires. Not caring if her dark brown leather boots sunk into the ground a little, Annelise strode in, her legs looking a mile long in her skinny jeans and black tank top that showed off her beautiful figure. She was tall and strong and a stunning definition of a Vampire. "Are you in mourning?" She inquired, trying to keep all taunt from her voice but still noting that a little was there.

Cassie had already sensed another vampire quite nearby. She didn't really think much about it she carried on her strole back from her mothers grave. She wondered through all her thoughts, and past memories. She didn't realize till the last minuite that the other vampire must have sensed her nearby and come to inspect. She stopped on the spot unaware on what to do she waited for the other woman to speak whilst examining her thoroughly. She noticed that she looked strong, and a perfect definition of a vampire. "Are you in mourning"
Cassie looked up at her, she stared into her eyes catching the sound of a taunt in her words. She took a few seconds to think before she spoke. She didn't want to kick things of until she understood how strong this vampiress was. "And what is it too you" she asked simply, her emotions still simple.

Having hidden her entire mind, Annelise could come off either as weak or as extremely strong, so she figured she'd just let this girl think what she wanted. Barely probing, she found the girl's name was Cassie. "What's it to me?" Annelise repeated, chuckling once more. "Nothing, actually.I just wanted to know if you were in mourning."
Sitting on a grave and leaning back lightly, Annelise studied the short girl. At least a half-foot shorter than Annelise was. She seemed quite young to even be a Vampire, let alone to be away from her parents. "When did your mother die?" Annelise asked, not even thinking about the fact that she'd gotten the information from Cassie's mind. It would give away a hint of power, but she wasn't sure if she really cared.
After spending so much time around Silver-- the strong Vampire who wanted so much to make Annelise bow and beg at his feet-- it was nice to flex the muscles of her mind. In fact, it was actually nice to feel completely in control. When Silver was around, Annelise felt herself dipping so much into the darkness she fought, that it was just becoming a part of her rather than being defeated by her. And now? She was stuck in that place, still between darkness and fighting it.

"Well to answer your question yes i am in mourning" Cassie replied softly, she didn't want to sound upset so she thought she would go for the polite way of talking. "When did your mother die?" Cassie stood confused. How would she know that it was her mother mourning.. the only thing she could think of was that if this vampire had a special gift of reading minds. "Not.. not so long ago.." she replied, choosing to lean against the opposite gravestone. "May i ask how you knew it was my mother?" she questioned re-examining the woman. Her eyes showing how curious she was.She was touchy about her mother but she didn't like to show it.

Annelise couldn't help but laugh at the question of how she knew who was making this Cassie girl sad. "You are quite young and naive it seems," Annelise began, waving her hand in a dismissive motion. "Perhaps you never thought to reach into the mind of another of our kind, as we so often do with humans when feeding, or any other time really."
Standing and walking a few paces, Annelise reveled in the feel of stretching her legs. Earlier, she had been cooped up in her luxurious hotel room with little to do. She'd thought herself to a home hidden away from everyone, but it had not been much better there. Silver was making her restless. So she'd gone back to the city of her hotel room and simply gone for a walk. A pair of lovers had become her prey, which put her in a better mood, and then she'd continued on. The graveyard had originally just been a place of passing, but now it was a place of interest.
Never had Annelise met a Vampire who didn't know the extent of their powers. Sure, the girl was young, but there were always Vampires who could read each others minds-- putting up walls in ones mind did not always keep others out, which was why Annelise had worked so hard to make hers the strongest she had ever heard of. But this girl's mind was still a little too open for being what... Ten years old... so young... Annelise thought as she learned more about Cassie than Cassie knew of. "Did no one ever teach you how to be a Vampire?" The elder Vampiress inquired. Elder by nearly eight-hundred years. But it didn't make Annelise feel old, just powerful.

"You are quite young and naive it seems," Cassie was confuzed whether this was a good thing or not, instead of retaliating as she normally would she stayed silent. She waited to hear what the older vampiress had to say. "Perhaps you never thought to reach into the mind of another of our kind, as we so often do with humans when feeding, or any other time really." "No i never have." Cassie finally spoke wondering what this woman was trying to get at. She eyed her suspiciously, but let it fade into no emotion yet again. Why would i want to interfere on others private lives.. unless i had something against them. Then she realized that this woman most likely knew more about her than she knew herself. "Did no one ever teach you how to be a Vampire?" Cassie looked at her, she probably already knows so theirs no point in lieing she told herself. She knew other vampires could easily tell between truth and lies. Cassie watched her stretch out. "No, i just go with my instincts" she replied casually. She could tell this woman was most likely way more advanced that Cassie was, and she could tell that she herself had a disadvantage against whatever this woman wanted.

"Instinct?" Annelise repeated, surprised at the truth of the girls' answer. She was serious. She just did what she thought of. "These instincts, do you just go off what you believe about Vampires, or do you go off what you know?" Annelise could tell this girl had never so much as tapped into the power that she could find in her mind. Of course, she was still young and not very powerful, but there was still more there than she knew of.
"What do your instincts tell you to do?" The elder Vampiress wondered aloud. The concept of a Vampire not knowing of their power was shocking to the beautiful, ancient creature, and it caused her to wonder who had made a fledgling out of the weak almost-child. Looking into her mind once more, there seemed to be almost a... void... where her blood-giver would be. It was a male, and there seemed to be some guilt, but she couldn't find a name.
"Who changed you and why?" Something this big (and in Silver's territory) could cause quite a ruckus if it became known. She hadn't heard of it before, so perhaps it was by someone powerful enough to hide this information, but someone that powerful wouldn't care about draining someone dry and leaving them. Would I?... Annelise found herself wondering. Would I feel pity on someone? When was the last time I did? It had been a long time. No matter how much time she spent fighting her darkness, Annelise was still able to view weak humans as simply food, though she didn't always kill her prey.

"What do your instincts tell you to do?"
Cassie thought a while. It was silence, she knew the other woman was thinking, she had never really spoke to another of her kind. She didn't know how to really interact with them. She finally spoke her reply. "Not that much, i just know what to do when i need to the most being feeding. " She glanced back at the woman. She wondered how long ago she had been changed. She felt uncomfortable, like she was being interrogated, especially when the woman finally spoke again.
"Who changed you and why?"
Cassie looked at her, curious to why she asked. She didn't really remember the time that she was changed."I don't know who changed me, and the reason why.. well i suppose pity. Why do you ask?" Cassie looked around and then back at the woman."Have i done something wrong..?" Cassie asked, the womans voice seemed to be getting more serious as they conversed.Cassie had always thought this was the way it was meant to be, wondering alone not knowing what the day would bring. But maybe that wasn't supposed to be. The womans curiousness and seriousness was confusing. What is she trying to get at? Cassie thought to herself

{ooc: It looks a lot better, Cassie XD Thanks!}
Annelise was surprised by Cassie's reply about instincts. She knew they went at least a little beyond that, being her ability to easily charm humans. It was easy to tell Cassie was good at doing that. But the girl seemed to be... almost lacking a desire to have control over more than just who she fed off of. There was more to life than blood lust.
With Annelise's mind trailing along with thoughts as it was, she wasn't taking the time to listen to everything Cassie was thinking. Besides, that would be more invasive than Annelise actually wanted to be, especially when the girl seemed to confused. When Cassie asked why Annelise was asking these questions, the Vampiress pulled herself from her thoughts and shook her head. "I'm just trying to figure out who changed you," she explained with a shrug. "But it's quite odd, there is no name connected with the vague memory of a face... he must have actually felt guilty, whoever he was." Annelise shrugged and grinned when Cassie asked if something was wrong.
"No, you're not in trouble and nothing is wrong, I just find myself extremely curious about what could have happened to make a blood-giver not teach a fledgling anything." Annelise shrugged, brushing the questions from her mind. In an act of compassion (something which took quite a bit of force, since she was still battling the darkness), Annelise pressed against the girls mind and said, "Do you notice that pressing against your aura and your mind?" She pressed further, trying to make in noticeable, but not sure if the girl could recognize it or not.

"But it's quite odd, there is no name connected with the vague memory of a face... he must have actually felt guilty, whoever he was."
I have wondered that for a while.. He never said.. from what i can remember on why he did offer me his immortal blood. He just left me.And I've lived with that ever since. She replied to try and help her out with her curiousness.
"No, you're not in trouble and nothing is wrong, I just find myself extremely curious about what could have happened to make a blood-giver not teach a fledgling anything."
There was a little relief from Cassie. At least she's not going to attack me or something she told herself. From what she saw she knew this vampire was more experienced that Cassie would reach for a while. "How much more is there to know..?" she questioned, swapping her weight onto her other foot, not that she needed too but she hated staying still.
"Do you notice that pressing against your aura and your mind?" Cassie could feel something pushing against her mind but she didn't really know what to call it. She looked at the woman. I feel something pushing against my mind, i take it that would be what your are talking about..? Its only faint though" she added.

It was odd to Annelise that Cassie could barely feel her entering her mind. For the elder, that was the first thing she had focused on when she was changed, because she didn't want everyone to read her mind. Sure, it hadn't been something that happened at the snap of a finger, but she had strengthened her mind so much over time that she could tell every time someone tried to enter her mind.
Trying to think of how to explain the concept of trying to block out someone, Annelise paused. "Think of the strongest wall and imagine building that wall in your mind," she said after a moment. "If you can do that, you'll be more aware of when people are reading your thoughts and mind." It was the biggest effort Annelise was willing to make. She knew she could take more time and explain it more fully, but Annelise had never had a fledgling and never wanted to teach another these things. Exactly when she had yet to give her blood to another.
"Vampires can move from one place to another, simply by willing it-- or thinking it, I guess you could say. I think of it as an act of will, not just thinking. If I wanted to go to... Antarctica, all I have to do is will it, and I can be there. You can go anywhere you want. And if you gain enough power, you can even block others from reading you the way I am." Annelise studied Cassie's face and wondered how she would react to everything, hoping it would turn out to be a much more interesting night than she first thought.

Cassie decided to try the first thing the woman had said about building a wall. She thought of a wall, and tried it wondering if it had worked, she noticed the aura had eased slightly, but that could have always been mistaken. She tried it again to see if it did actually work, she didn't really know what to look out for. She hoped that the woman would explain a little more but she didnt want to push her looked.. if thats what you called it.

"Maybe i will try that sometime.. i think i might hang around here for a little while longer.. Im Cassie by the way.. but im sure you probably know that already." she spoke kindly, grateful for the advice of the fellow vampiress. She introduced herself hoping that the other would at least tell her her name. She wondered how much this woman had read her mind.. had she seen her past?

Annelise notice the slight difference as Cassie attempted to put a wall up in her mind. It was not strong, but it was still a good first effort. A slight smile played at Annelise's lips. When the girl introduced herself, Annelise got to her feet and nodded about already knowing that. "Yes, I knew, " she replied with a grin. "I am Annelise, and I am much older than you, so I am happy to pass on a little information to another daughter of Siete."
Sure that the girl didn't know who Siete was, Annelise wondered if instinct would inform Cassie of who Siete was. There was always a chance, but she still didn't know until Cassie started to think about it. "This place holds many memories for you, I know. But sometimes the places with memories are the places that hold you back from gaining more power. For me, I left my home as soon as I could, and my power grew because I didn't think of my weaknesses of my human life any more. Let your power grow, child of Siete." She smiled and began to think about where she would go, but waited to hear Cassie reply.
{Sorry it's so short! -_-}

"I am Annelise, and I am much older than you, so I am happy to pass on a little information to another daughter of Siete."
"Well i am glad to meet you Annelise, and honored to be getting information off you.. considering your a ... more experienced Vampire at that" she smiled gratefully. She thought about what Annelise had just said about being "another daughter of Siete" she was confused, but not with what the woman had meant, but the fact she recognized the name Siete. It took her a while to pick pieces up of what he instincts had told her."Is this Siete someone extremely important.. something about him being the first of our kind..?" Cassie questioned the woman.
"This place holds many memories for you, I know. But sometimes the places with memories are the places that hold you back from gaining more power. For me, I left my home as soon as I could, and my power grew because I didn't think of my weaknesses of my human life any more. Let your power grow, child of Siete." .
"I don't wish too leave this place, i want to let go of my past i understand that i can or probably should gain more power, but i don't want to be alone, Ive been left to wander as i have and i wouldn't know what to do with myself if i did leave."
